Toubacouta
The luxurious sleeping huts are spread out in a beautiful baobab and flower park in the middle of a small authentic village called Toubacouta. The harmony with the local population makes you feel at home in this bush village. Enjoy the ‘teranga’, the typical Senegalese hospitality, and drink in the relaxed and highly captivating culture. Adventure and total freedom at your own pace.
The Island
Fifteen romantic luxury sleeping huts and a salt water swimming pool; a restaurant perched on top of the highest dune of the Sine Saloum delta, offering a breathtaking view across the islands and rivers - this place is a natural pick-me-up: relaxation and regeneration in its purest form. The closest village, with its population of thirty or so easygoing souls, is a fifteen-minute walk through unspoiled nature.

Birding:
By proa you can experience the bustle of life in and around the mangrove delta. The shoreline is the place to be for the many thousands of tropical birds, such as ospreys and flamingos. Birdwatchers, rejoice. The location is full of hundreds of different species!
The Delta:
Bathing in the healthy salt water of the delta is a glorious experience. Here you will never swim alone, for it is one of the most fish-abundant areas in the world.

The African people have incredible courage, willpower and a dedication to hard work, but that often just doesn't cut it.
And that is where Les Paletuviers comes in. As we enjoy the wonderful things of the African people, it is only proper to give something back.
The hotels Les Palétuviers have already helped out in quite a few important humanitarian projects during the past few years. And we will continue to do so. But, as far as possible, distributed on a larger area, namely Niombato, almost as large as a Belgian Province.
